Ear to Ear
Yeah, I’m going to be grinning like this for the next week.
I got a job today. It’s not molecular engineering or rocket science or anything that will change the course of human events, but it’s a paying gig that will get me off of unemployment and provide it’s own weekly paycheck and opportunities for advancement and health care. No more government hand outs for this guy. Plus, like this girl said: “It’s a whole new pool of girls.”
Best of all, I can finally check the first item off of my “Pre-30 List.” Now that I have gainful employment I can afford to pay for school, which starts January 4th. The goal is to have a degree, a nicer apartment, a (better) car, a widescreen TV and a proper collection of books by the time I turn 30 in 727 days. Those all seem like reasonable and attainable goals, right?
The next chapter of my life starts at 13:00 Wednesday.
Anyway, if you see me in the next few days and I seem to have my head in the clouds just yank on my pant leg and I’ll come back to earth.
