My post game report is up over at Bleacher Report. You should go read it. You should tell your friends to go read it.
A few more thoughts from the weekend as a whole:
- That was one beauty of a game. I saw most of the first half from random places around the concourse, because I had to leave the section for a bit to walk someone out. The stadium really does resonate with the sounds of the Nordecke, but the soccer moms can make some noise of their own, too.
- The ushers at Crew Stadium need to relax. Just because I’m standing at the top of a section watching the game doesn’t mean I’m trying to sneak into that section. Also, just because I’m wearing an HSH shirt doesn’t mean I’m going to start trouble.
- Buck-a-Brat night is one of the most wonderful things ever.
- To the guys with the drums: There are other fans around you. Some of us know some pretty good chants. We’d like to get them going, please. Thanks.
- Other than the game on Saturday, this weekend was pretty forgettable. As in I’d like to forget it. It was just plain old no good. I’m gonna try my best to make sure there aren’t any more like that in the near future.
- And finally, the new Harry Potter movie really is as bad as you’ve heard.
Goodnight, kids. And good luck at work this week.
